The Story Behind the National Costume of Mr. Philippines Limuel Vilela

This is the story behind the national costume of

Mister Philippines Limuel Vilela who competed in

Mister Pacific World 2016 in Lima, Peru:

This costume was originally created and designed by the

world class Filipino Designer : Edwin Uy.
The original theme is " The Golden Philippine Eagle Warrior. "

However, Limuel narrated:

“There was an incident of delayed oversized baggage (golden wings and shield were inside ) in Lima ,Peru. So, with that pressure I need to think outside the box and I found a blue cape that will give more attraction to the costume then it came out like Mandirigmang Datu Maharlika.”
