After surviving the scandals
that rocked the first edition of Mister Global last year, and having earned the
well-deserved fourth runner up placement, Wilfred Placencia Jr. is once again
in the headlines. I was surprised to see him competing for the Mister Republic
of the Philippines 2015. I was like --- really? But, why?
You see, he already won for
us a runner up in an international pageant. If he wanted to establish personal
ties with Mister RP, then, he should not be a candidate – but a JUDGE.
I also found out recently
that the people behind Misters of the Philippines (the one who sent him to
Mister Global 2014), was not informed about Wilfred’s decision. Por delicadeza pud ba kay mo-cross-over gud
siya sa pikas. They too, were surprised when they saw Wilfred being
presented as one among the candidates.
