OBSERVATION: What a beautiful way to open an advocacy
– I LOVE CEBU song! The video really sells Cebu to the world – and whoa, you
get the feeling of wanting to go to this wonderful island. However, while the
video consumed 30 seconds of tourism ad, the advocacy of Hanz is on street
children. He threw the question: what have you done for them? He had a video at
the Zapatera school, but children where nowhere to be found in the video clips.
He also dropped by the Cebu City Task Force on Street Children, but the
children were really mere “extra,” who waved at the camera and said “hi.” There
was no clear interaction.
CONTENTWISE, this is a popular advocacy. I hope that
Hanz will really live up to his advocacy.
