Explaining Mr. Sultan Kudarat's Regional Costume



Sultan Dipatuan Mohammad Kudarat, The great muslim defender, is the inspiration of this Regional Festival Costume. The town of Sultan Kudarat in Maguindanao Province was named after the said Moro great leader.
The dress embodies royalty, strength, and bravery of the Bangsamoro People the choice of gold as the dominant color represents SULTAN KUDARAT as a town shines bright as the sun.





The big sword locally known as “Kampilan” while the “Gulok”a type of dagger, connotes that size does not matter.






Sultan Kudarat Maguindanao also takes pride as a premiere producer of “Inaul” a hand-woven cloth a malong was accentuated in this dress called “Siko kalwang a Sinagkipan” and also the dress accentuated of crafted brass wares which is the main product of the Municipality.






The “Sansangan” or the Golden crown is Symbolizes of Royalty
“Kandit or belt it shows the strong determination of the Municipality
Through this Regional Festival Costume. It is pride of the town of Sultan Kudarat Maguindanao, to be the only representative of ARMM in the Mister United Continents Philippines 2015.
