ALVIN ASUNCION OF CAVITE

GINOONG FILIPINAS 2006

Porcelain-skinned Alvin Asuncion from Cavite was a sure winner from the very beginning of the Ginoong Filipinas 2006. Having already won the Best in Barong (Ginoo sa Kasuotang Barong Tagalog) and the Mister Photogenic (Ginoo sa Larawan), you can immediately tell that he had already the edge over the other contestants. In the Barong Tagalog segment he glided in the stage like a pro creating enough steam to heat the already boiling Intramuros. And in the swimwear competition more pyrotechnics exploded as a prelude to his proclamation. Literally, he owned the evening which culminated to his victory as Ginoong Filipinas 2006.

After the pageant, he was sent to Singapore to compete for Mr. International 2006. He was a heavy favorite making him Mr. Photogenic and a semifinalist . He lost to pageant giants Wissam Hanna of Lebanon and heaven-sent Erbert Javier Delgado of Venezuela.

He was a graduate of BS in Marine Transportation from AIMS Pasay. Alvin tops the list of Ginoong Filipinas alumni for having the most number of aliases. He used the name Ken Escudero, Ken Silverio, Alvien Cano, etc. He eventually became an indie actor where he shared sexy scenes in “Sikil with Will Sandejas.

In 2007, he auditioned for the “Be Bench: The Model Search” under ABS-CBN but he only made it until the top 30.

In 2008, he landed on the 99^th spot in the Sexiest Man in the Philippines.
