FIFTH MOST HANDSOME GINOONG FILIPINAS WINNER IS:

TIRSO GARCIA, GINOONG FILIPINAS 1996

Perhaps the most watched Ginoong Filipinas competition as well as the most remembered by male pageant fans is the 1996 competition won by Tirso Garcia, our 5^th Most Handsome Ginoong Filipinas. That was the time when ABS-CBN Channel 2 invited the pageant  to be staged on national television via the noontime show “SANG LINGGO NA PO SILA.” From November 1995 until the month of April 1996, candidates from the National Capital Region as well as from the provinces battle out for the title daily. The grand finals was grand! Perhaps it was also the grandest opening of all the Ginoong Filipinas finals even until today. Tirso Garcia who represented the Filipino community of Canada, stood out from the very beginning of the contest and was able to sustain it. Not only very handsome but also very telegenic, he was a crowd favorite. He stood 5’10 and his well-chiseled body also paved way for him to win Best in Swimwear and eventually, the Ginoong Filipinas title.
