Finally, the Mister International 2013 concluded, and the
people of the Philippines have so much reason to rejoice despite the tragedy
that struck the Visayas islands recently. Our Philippine representative, Gil
Wagas ended up fourth runner up, the highest placement we have reached in the
eight editions of Mister International.
In the top 16, he was the last to be called, a seeming
trend in pageants this year. Few weeks ago, Philippine delegates were called
last in the top 16 of Miss Universe 2013 in Russia and Miss Grand International
2013 in Thailand.
Gil Wagas from Lapu-lapu City dedicates his victory to
the Filipino people. The Philippine team of the Prime Events Productions
Philippines (PEPP) went also to Indonesia to show their support. JP Anonuevo
posted in his facebook account, “nasabi ko noong
pagkatapos ng send-off ni Gil Wagas noong ang PEPPS nagpa-press presentation ng
Manhunt noong September 28, that same day nanalo si Megan Young sa Miss World.
Noong nagpa-send off kay Gil, that same night nag-third runner-up si Ariella
Arida sa Miss Universe. Tapos kahapon naman press presentation ng Miss Earth
and same date ng Mister International. Nasabi ko noon na baka naman dahil
savtrending na ito e pumasok sa top 5 si Gil...and nagkatotoo nga!”
We wish Gil Wagas more
successes in life and we look forward to his arrival back in the Philippines!
Thank you Gil for making us proud!
