THE MOST HANDSOME GINOONG FILIPINAS WINNER IS:

This year’s winner Marky Fernando is the most handsome among all the winners of the 24-year old pageant Ginoong Filipinas. Not because he is the most recent, but because of the fact that he deserved it. One look at him makes you conclude, he is indeed the one!

A registered nurse from Pampanga, cum-laude at the Angeles University Foundation, Marky easily stood out in the throng of gorgeous men from all parts of the country during the final night. Having been awarded the Best in Barong (Ginoo sa Kasuotang Barong Tagalog) and Best in Talent (Ginoo sa Talento), he was indeed a front runner from the very beginning of the contest. He bested other favorites like second timers Myles Palisoc and Chester Asi from the Ginoong Filipinas 2011 batch who settled for the Turismo title and the Ginoong Filipinas – Mindanao title, respectively.

Marky has 3 older brothers and a younger sister. He was supposed to compete in Mister International Philippines 2013 but since there was an offer to join the Ginoong Filipinas, he chose the latter. According to him, “I just thought that time that GF will be a great training ground for me.” In the end, he was victorious and it was even sweeter because it was his first time to join a national male pageant.

After the pageant, Marky becomes an in-demand host (and sometimes judge) for pageants around Luzon area.

Are we going to see him re-surface in the next big male pageants next year?
