Joewell
de Ramon was one of the so-called pretty boys in the Ginoong Filipinas 2001.
Fresh from his Lakan ng Maynila 2001 victory, he was immediately noticed at the
very start of the competition. When he won, he immediately became very popular
in his native town Naujan, Oriental Mindoro. After he won the Ginoong Filipinas
title, he was offered to try showbusiness, but he refused it and chose the
simple and more laid-back life.
