September 29 is the Feast of the Archangels

according to the Roman Catholic Church.

The most popular are St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael.

In the world of pageantry, many male candidates loved becoming angels too.

I would like to thank JM Nazareth for his generosity in spending time

Recently, he won Hari ng CALABARZON 2013.

DESCRIBE YOUR PROVINCE: 

It is rich in historical places like underground cemetery and 

our old church which is Saint Bartholomew church.

Several springs and waterfalls are also located in my province.

DESCRIBE YOUR FAMILY: 

Simply the best!

 I come from an average family and we stay together.

Even though there are many trials and circumstances that we encounter each day,

 we learned from it and it made me stronger

and made me the better person that I am right now.

 Sumali po ako sa male pageant last April at ako po ay napakapalad 

dahil ako po ang tinanghal na makuha ang titolong kauna unahang Ginoong Nagcarlan 2013.

TELL ME YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE IN A MALE PAGEANTS:

Sa pangalawang pagkakataon ako po ay nakapag-uwi ng isa pang karangalan sa aking province 

dahil ako po ang hinirang na Hari Ng Calabarzon 2013 

na ginanap noong nakaraang August 10, 2013.

With the conclusion of the Hari ng CALABARZON, I have discovered a certain person who, for a while has been behind the successes of many talents. He was the handler of no less than Ariella Arida, our representative to Miss Universe 2013, when she was still starting at Binibing Laguna. JM Nazareth, Hari ng CALABARZON 2013, is also under his stable. He seems to have made a strong presence in Philippine pageantry today. Ladies and gentlemen, let us get to know Ghune Katigbak.

ANO PO ANG NAME NINYO?

Ghune Katigbak.  30 years old from San Pablo City, Laguna

DESCRIBE YOUR PROVINCE:

Dont know wat was the best word to describe Laguna.

Since im living here masasabi ko na masaya mga tao dito,

active sa kani kanilang mga chosen fields at siguro palaban.

Palaban in a way na they will prove that they are strong to

face all the challanges in all aspects.

KAYO PO ANG HANDLER NI ARIELLA ARIDA, HOW IS SHE AS A PERSON?

Handler/trainer ako ni Ariella Arida dito sa Laguna.

Sa akin siya nag simula when she joined Binibining Laguna and Miss Philippines Earth 2012.

As in sa akin sya natuto maglakad wearing a 6 inches heels.

PAANO PO SIYA NAPUNTA SA ACES NI JONAS GAFFUD?

Napunta siya sa Aces and Queens kay Mr. Jonas Gaffud or Mama J

kasi napag usapan namin ni Ara na she should try Binibining Pilipinas 2013.

Basta sabi lang nya sana sa Aces sya.

Kasi naranasan namin ang walk in sa Miss Philippines Earth.

Ang hirap pag walang contact, connection at walang nag-aasikaso.

Then I find a way how can I contact Mama J.

Then isang araw I got a message from Mama J asking about Ara.

Dun na nag simula ang lahat, Ara became part of Aces and Queens.

PAANO NAMAN PO NAG-UMPISA ANG INTEREST NINYO SA MALE PAGEANTS?

I got interested with male pageants year 2012.

May local pageant dito sa amin for Lakan at Mutya ng San Pablo.

Wala ako babaeng candidate pero I had 2 male candidates and

Luckily, they won the 2 highest title with that pageant.

Jeff Rome Anenias won as Lakan ng San Pablo 2012 the major title and

 Kim Vincent Rivera as Ginoong San Pablo 2012.

HOW MANY MALE TALENTS PO ANG NASA PANGANGALAGA NINYO NGAYON?

Sa ngayon I have 13 male talents

I discovered JM Nazareth the newly crowned Hari ng CALABARZON 2013

when he won his local pageant in Nagcarlan, Laguna.

JM is the reigning Ginoong Nagcarlan 2013.

Nagcarlan is also in Laguna.

 JM Nazareth (Hari ng CALABARZON 2013) and Clad Joshua Macaraig (First Runner Up) 

were under Ghune's camp

WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT JM NAZARETH, THE HARI NG CALABARZON 2013?

The first time I saw JM naramdaman ko at nakita ko that he is promising na

pwede talaga isalang sa mga higher and bigger pageants.

At yun nga unang sali nya under me nanalo naman sya.

DO YOU SEE POLITICS IN MALE PAGEANTS?

Politics in male pageants???

Sguro oo kasi even sa female pageants alam ko na di mawawala un.

Pero deadma ako sa ganun kasi I know my talents.

Naniniwala ako na kaya nila lumaban sa kahit anung laban.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE YOUR TALENTS?

DO THEY HAVE RULES TO FOLLOW, LIKE NO GF?

How I handle my talents?? Hmmm....

pag oras ng trainings di muna kami magkakaibigan

talagang dapat focus at tutok sila sa mga trainings namin

para ma achieve namin ang goals namin.

Wala naman rules na bawal ang gf or bf ok lang un.

Basta wag nila dadalhin ang problema nila sa oras ng trainings

kasi napaka importante sakin ng bawat oras ng trainings.

Ayoko ng may nasasayang na oras.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR TALENTS?

Lahat sa akin memorable kase iba iba ng character at capacity nila

 so bawat candidate may kanya kanya galing at kahinaan na dapat namin at harapin.

Para kung san sila mahina kelngan I motivate at kung saan malakas

I motivate pa to enhance their abilities.

ANG PAGIGING HANDLER BA AY MASASAVING ISANG

“WORK THAT PAYS WELL”?

para sakin di ko masabing ang pagiging handler ay isang trabaho.

Instead I coud say na passion to kasi eto ung gusto ko.

Tulad ko graduate ako ng pre law course nag work on sales.

Eh pageanatic talaga ako at idol ko talaga si mama Jonas Gaffud

kaya sguro mas pinili ko na din to.

I just live discovering potential talents in the world of pageantry.

Ang pangarap ko ay makapag pasok lang ng kandidata sa Bb. Pilipinas.

Natupad to ni Ara di lang naging kandidata, nanalo pa as Miss Universe Philippines 2013.

Sa tingin ko natupad ko na ang pangarap ko kaya mas motivated pa ako to disvover more ma babae man o ma lalake.

WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE TO YOUR TALENTS?

Sundin lang nila lahat ng mga nayuyunan nila sakin.

I am not saying thay I am the best trainer or handler but

I believe may natututunan naman sila at mas may matututunan pa sila.

Salamat sa knila kasi lahat sila ay mabait at masunurin.

So far wala ako sakit ng ulo kahit sinu sa kanila.

Salamat at sana mas marami pa tayong manalunan na laban. Love u all!
