HARI NG TALAKUDONG – The Pageant is a male festival pageant in the City of Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat in celebration of the Talakudong Festival every 18th day of September. As the 1st male festival pageant in the Region, it aims to seek and showcase the masculinity and versatility of young, good-looking Tacurongnon gentleman whose personality embodies handsomeness, brains, bearing, projection and talent. The HARI will serve as the Ambassador of Peace and Goodwill for the City of Tacurong.

QUALIFICATIONS for HARI NG TALAKUDONG - The Pageant:

A candidate shall be:
- Natural born male
- 15 to 24 years old as of September 18, 2015
- At least 5 feet, 6 inches tall (barefooted)
- Single (never been married nor fathered a child)
- A bona fide resident of the City of Tacurong
- Exudes masculine features
- Healthy and good-looking
- With a unique skill and talent
- Has an identified entity or association to sponsor him. Sponsor could be an educational institution, barangay unit, civil organizations, cooperative, NGO, business establishment, etc.

PRE-LISTING:
All interested applicants shall submit their names for pre-listing before they will be given application forms. Complete name, age and sponsor shall be submitted thru text in these mobile numbers: SMART (0947-718-8295) or GLOBE (0915-347-0496) on or before July 26, 2015. Also, all applicants are requested to “Like” and regularly “visit” the official Facebook page of the event (Hari Talakudong) for other information and announcements.

APPLICATION FORMS:

After the pre-listing, the applicant shall secure application form and other documents from the Hari ng Talakudong (HNT) Management on July 31, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Beldent Star Hotel Lobby, Ledesma Extension, Tacurong City.

1. Casual Wear Exposure & Talent Presentation (September 9, 2015 at Tacurong City Sports & Cultural Complex, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

2. Pageant Night (Production Number, "Sexy" Shorts, Barong Tagalog and Interview; September 18, 2015 at Tacurong City Sports & Cultural Complex, 7:00 p.m.)

Explaining Mr. Sultan Kudarat's Regional Costume

Sultan Dipatuan Mohammad Kudarat, The great muslim defender, is the inspiration of this Regional Festival Costume. The town of Sultan Kudarat in Maguindanao Province was named after the said Moro great leader.
The dress embodies royalty, strength, and bravery of the Bangsamoro People the choice of gold as the dominant color represents SULTAN KUDARAT as a town shines bright as the sun.

The big sword locally known as “Kampilan” while the “Gulok”a type of dagger, connotes that size does not matter.

Sultan Kudarat Maguindanao also takes pride as a premiere producer of “Inaul” a hand-woven cloth a malong was accentuated in this dress called “Siko kalwang a Sinagkipan” and also the dress accentuated of crafted brass wares which is the main product of the Municipality.

The “Sansangan” or the Golden crown is Symbolizes of Royalty
“Kandit or belt it shows the strong determination of the Municipality
Through this Regional Festival Costume. It is pride of the town of Sultan Kudarat Maguindanao, to be the only representative of ARMM in the Mister United Continents Philippines 2015.
