Mister International 2016, will be the 11th edition of the Mister International pageant, will be held on February 13, 2017 at The Stage @ Asiatique the Riverfront in Bangkok, Thailand.Pedro Mendes of Switzerland will crown his successor at the end of the event.

Men Universe Model 2015: My Top 10 Best in Costume

Men Universe Model, originally called "Mister Universe Model," consistently produced handsome titleholders of good standing since it debuted in 2008. The Philippines started sending delegates for this contest only in 2012. The highest placement our country got in this pageant was Best in Costume last year, courtesy of Mark Glenn del Rosario. Here are my top 10 picks for the Best in Costume this year in no particular order:

Mr. El Salvador: Where Did He Go Wrong?

Mister El Salvador Jorge Panameño first made an impact on netizens in Mister International when he gamely showed in a candid photo his armpits, and it scored a sizzling 100% turn on. He was immediately noticed among the favorites. With his boyish looks, I was expecting him to land in the top 16 but sorry, this cutie/charmer/boyish hunk did not make it.

When I saw his photos with other candidates, I started to worry because he was among the second shortest at 5’10 (Mister Macau was 5’91/2). I feared that he might be eclipsed by taller amazons in the competition. And yes, just like what happened in Mister Universe Model 2013 where he also competed, he was also unplaced.

Sad. Sad. Sad. The blog Male Pageants in the Philippines wishes him luck in his future endeavors. It’s not yet the end of the world for Jorge. I believe more opportunities will come in his door, and he will still end up victorious in his own battles. Thank you Jorge for making us a part of your pageant journey.
