Tawi-Tawi Top Model Quest 2015
Fresh from
the enormous success of Philippine representatives and Tawi-Tawi pride to the
Search for Mr. and Ms. Culture Asia 2015 held in Malaysia comes the launching
of the 1st Tawi-Tawi's Top Model Quest. This modelling competition was borne
out of the passion to help preserve and promote the rich culture of the
Philippines' southernmost frontier by showcasing culture-inspired costumes and
dresses. On May 30, 2015, 10 male and 10 female
finalists will strut their stuff wearing Agal-Agal Festival costumes,
Badjao-inspired casual/streetwear, and culture-inspired formal wear. Envisioned
by premier local and internationally-renowned fashion designer Bobby Syah Abdilla together with Hja. Babylyn Kano-Omar, Queen-mahal Jilhano Aral
Lipae, Jayson Enrera Manipon, Maricar Yecyecan, and Basil Villacortes Sali, this model quest will serve as a venue to select
Tawi-Tawi's bet to national and even international modelling competitions.
Amateur designers will also be given the chance to be developed and hopefully
discovered as they will create the candidates' Agal-Agal Festival costumes.
